Planning your Year at home

Our ancestors were devoted to rhythm and ritual in their lives. All of the great civilizations have watched the rhythms of the heavens, and connect their lives to the monthly and annual cycles. They have developed rituals and patterns to help them through each yearly planning cycle, from crop planting to religious festivals and public holidays. This knowledge was handed down through the generations in oral and written tradition.

As civilisations came and went, the victors brought their own traditions, and superimposed them on the vanquished. The festivals and public holidays changed, evolved and adjusted to meet the culture of the time.

Now we live in a multi-cultural society, and enjoy a smorgasboard of different traditions, customs, and beliefs. Its easy to forget when and what the 'next' festival or holiday is. And its hard to plan in advance for holidays, or special events.

So we decided to create a multi-cultural Home Year Planner
that recognises these differences and helps to make our society so rich in tradition. You can reference each event online or use our year wall planner to record birthdays, holidays, bank holidays, and religious festivals.

If you work in an office, you are probably familiar with the large wall Planners that are available from companies like Sasco and Staples.  They produce year planners in very large format, for staff to record holidays of office events, and the y convey very little information.  They do not include bank holidays, or sports events, and they do not show high season events.

So whilst they are useful for 'at a glance' information about who is away, they do not contain sufficient information for the average household or home, where you need to know anything from the next parent evening to when the christmas holidays are.

Using an office wall planner at home requires a lot of wall space, and they are not exactly inconspicuous, partly due to their colour schepes and partly due to the paper they are produced on.

So if you are looking for a year planner for home use; one that is not too large to fit on your kitchen wall, or too ugly, is made from recycled paper, and contains lots of information about what is happening in the year ahead, we offer a number of options:
